    Join us for the annual TEMPO Racine Picnic!

    The TEMPO Racine Board of Directors are pleased to welcome our members and their guests to our first in-person event since March! 

    At our annual picnic, you can expect:

    • Networking: Invite co-workers, friends, and contacts who you think would make excellent TEMPO Racine Members
    • Introduce our Board of Directors for our 2020-2021 fiscal year
    • Member awards
    • Unveiling our 2020-20201 TEMPO Racine Programming Theme
    • Find support in each other

    Weather permitting, we will be outdoors, masks on, and socially distanced. We will be taking all precautions!  If weather is poor or cold, we will be indoors, following all CDC guidelines.

     Choose to eat at the picnic or to take yours to go - every meal will be boxed to provide you with that flexibility of choice.  

    To assist with offsetting costs, guests will have a nominal $15 charge which will be credited back to them if they apply and become TEMPO Racine members.  As usual, TEMPO Racine members attend free-of-charge.

    2020-20201 TEMPO Racine Theme: The Whole Woman

    Setting Intentions for a Healthier & Happier YOU

    In this workshop, Dr. Christina L. Yoder will provide a framework for goal-setting that can be applied to both personal and professional ambitions. She will highlight recent research related to happiness and share practical ways to set daily intentions that fulfill our wellness needs. Discover how you can implement small changes each day to progress closer to your goals for the year ahead and beyond. Whether you are a recent college graduate, a retired business professional, full-time mother, and/or senior manager, this workshop is for YOU.

    Learn about Dr. Christina Yoder

    Dr. Christina L. Yoder is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Management, Leadership, Organization Theory, Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility. She is a Consulting Partner with Vide Consulting Group, LLC, providing management and leadership training to corporations and nonprofit organizations. She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor and avid Ashtanga yoga practitioner. Dr. Yoder previously taught for Penn State University’s Mont Alto and World Campuses. She worked for over 12 years in the banking industry, fulfilling roles in sales, lending, branch management, securities, and human resources. Her most recent position was Talent Development Manager at a community bank in south-central PA, where she collaborated with the president and executive management team in strategic and succession planning. Dr. Yoder’s research focus is on women and leadership. She has presented her research at the International Leadership Association’s Women’s Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Leadership Conference, and shares her expertise at various women’s events nationwide.

    Mental Health in the time of COVID-19

    Liz Hanson-Will, Executive Director of Family Services of Racine (FSR), and TEMPO Racine Board member, will address the following regarding mental health and will answer our questions.

    • Current trends in mental health
    • Stress management techniques to use in your daily life
    • Strategies to stay connected and prevent loneliness during social distancing
    • Ways to support our kids through these challenging times.

    Learn about Liz Hanson-Will

    Liz grew up in Racine and proudly attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work. After moving away for a time, she returned to Wisconsin in 2000 and began working with children and families in treatment foster care. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Wisconsin and, in addition to eight years in the foster care system, have worked as a school counselor and in private practice. She joined the Family Service of Racine team in December 2016 and became the Executive Director in February 2018.
