    Tempo Members! Let's get crafty and have some fun!

    Join us on Thursday, 1/30 at 5 pm at The Dish for a crafting party where we will make coasters of our word of the year for 2025.

    The fee is $5 (cash payable at the event, exact change is appreciated) and includes all of the crafting supplies.

    Food and beverage will be available for purchase from The Dish. Crafting talent is NOT a requirement! :) 

    This is a Tempo member only event.

    NEW! Racine Tempo Book Club: 

    If "read more books" is on your list for 2025, we can help!

    We are starting a monthly book club for our Racine Tempo members that will feature both fiction and nonfiction books written by women authors.

    Our first meeting will be on Thursday, February 6th at 5:30 pm at Jose's Blue Sombrero (6430 Washington Ave, Mt. Pleasant) where we will discuss The People We Keep by Allison Larkin.

    We will determine the format and ideas for future reads at this meeting.

TEMPO Racine is hosting a special Member Recruitment Event on February 13th.  This will be an exclusive opportunity to network with inspiring professionals, share experiences, and learn how TEMPO Racine fosters growth, mentorship, and leadership in our community. Come discover how you can be part of a dynamic group of women committed to supporting and celebrating one another. Let’s grow, lead, and thrive together!

    We are thrilled to have Dr. Veronica Carver and Kimberly Kane with us for this special event.

     Kimberly Kane is the president and CEO of Kane Communications Group. She is an award-winning journalist and public relations practitioner. Her team works across multiple communication spectrums to develop strategies that define organizations and inspire business results.  Ms. Kane was a long-time member of Tempo Racine, as well as a past Board President and Program Chair. 

    Dr. Carver is a retired beloved OBGYN in the Racine area and currently the owner of Vero in downtown Racine. We are excited to invite you to join us and learn more about her personal journey.  Her story is inspiring and impactful for women leaders.

    Hello Everyone,

    We are excited to share that UW-Green Bay and UW-Parkside Continuing Education are hosting an event called "Celebrate 2025 - Winning Her Way."  The event will focus on celebrating the distinctive qualities of female leadership, blending insights from athletic and business perspectives. The speakers are female sports champions who have transformed their experiences into successful careers in business and advocacy.

    Time: 2-5PM

    Cost: $50

    You are able to attend the event in person (in Green Bay) or live virtually (on your own or with Tempo members at viewing party).  Jessica Safransky Schacht has generously offered to host a live viewing party at United Way of Racine County for all members who register for the live virtual event.

    Playing Outside the Lines: Breaking Barriers and Leading in Sport and Life

    Alicia Pelton | Program Director, Coaching HER

    Alicia delves into how managing emotional and mental well-being through life's highs and lows has been key to overcoming barriers, embracing successes and pushing forward—breaking traditional boundaries in both sport and leadership along the way. Alicia Pelton is the program director for Coaching HER at the University of Minnesota Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, with over 30 years of experience in youth sports and a deep commitment to gender equity in athletics. With a unique perspective shaped by challenging societal norms, she has championed the advancement of girls' sports while advocating for women in leadership roles and promoting equitable policies in athletics.

    Abbey Sutherland is more than just a Head Coach.

    She is an advocate for people and a promoter of holistic growth. Her credibility springs from her commitment to nurturing well-being and her success leading teams on and off the volleyball court. As an NCAA Division I Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and Senior Woman Administrator at UW-Green Bay, as well as a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, Abbey is on a mission to create environments and opportunities where individuals can thrive.
