TEMPO Racine is a professional association committed to furthering the development of women leaders in our community.
Members benefit from professional networking opportunities and monthly membership luncheons featuring diverse, knowledgeable speakers covering a wide range of topics.
Monthly luncheons take place on the 2nd Thursday of every month (excluding August) from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. There is an annual membership recruitment event (typically in February) and holiday gathering in December.
To be considered for membership, nominees are required to meet at least three of the following five criteria:
Membership Application Process
The application process begins when a current member of TEMPO Racine nominates a woman who they believe would be a good fit for the organization. The current member submits a nomination letter and the nominee's resume to the membership committee. The letter outlines the nominee’s professional accomplishments, educational attainment, community service and leadership through service, and professional or service-related achievements and awards. Letters must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Letters are reviewed on a rolling basis by the Membership Committee. The Membership Committee Chair will reach out to the member and the nominee to outline the next step in the application process. During the Nomination Process
We encourage nominees to continue to attend our monthly meeting while your application is pending.
Upon Approval of a Nomination
New members are announced at the membership program following your approval. New members and their nominating TEMPO Racine member will be notified in advance of the date. This announcement date marks the beginning of a membership term, which expires on the first day of the member’s anniversary month. Upon joining TEMPO Racine, new members will be sent an invoice for yearly membership dues which are payable upon receipt.
Annual Membership Dues
Annual membership dues are $350.00. As a nonprofit organization, we try to keep dues as low as possible while still providing a high-quality membership experience. Our current dues cover venue/meal costs for 9 monthly luncheons, the July summer picnic, and the December holiday party almost exclusively. The remaining portion of your membership dues supports overhead costs and a portion of the costs for member-only programming.
New and existing members are encouraged to participate as a Networking Partner of TEMPO Racine. If a personal business or employer is interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Our sponsorship packages start at $500.00 annually.
TEMPO Racine members can attend TEMPO Milwaukee events (at their guest rate) without an invitation from one of their members.
