We are excited to share that UW-Green Bay and UW-Parkside Continuing Education are hosting an event called "Celebrate 2025 - Winning Her Way." The event will focus on celebrating the distinctive qualities of female leadership, blending insights from athletic and business perspectives. The speakers are female sports champions who have transformed their experiences into successful careers in business and advocacy.

Cost: $50
You are able to attend the event in person (in Green Bay) or live virtually (on your own or with Tempo members at viewing party). Jessica Safransky Schacht has generously offered to host a live viewing party at United Way of Racine County for all members who register for the live virtual event.

Playing Outside the Lines: Breaking Barriers and Leading in Sport and Life
Alicia Pelton | Program Director, Coaching HER
Alicia delves into how managing emotional and mental well-being through life's highs and lows has been key to overcoming barriers, embracing successes and pushing forward—breaking traditional boundaries in both sport and leadership along the way. Alicia Pelton is the program director for Coaching HER at the University of Minnesota Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, with over 30 years of experience in youth sports and a deep commitment to gender equity in athletics. With a unique perspective shaped by challenging societal norms, she has championed the advancement of girls' sports while advocating for women in leadership roles and promoting equitable policies in athletics.

Abbey Sutherland is more than just a Head Coach.
She is an advocate for people and a promoter of holistic growth. Her credibility springs from her commitment to nurturing well-being and her success leading teams on and off the volleyball court. As an NCAA Division I Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and Senior Woman Administrator at UW-Green Bay, as well as a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, Abbey is on a mission to create environments and opportunities where individuals can thrive.
